  Common Questions

How long does treatment last?
The typical length of stay is between 3-4 weeks, but individual patients are assessed at admission and at regular intervals to determine levels of care and length of stay.

What should I bring?
Dress at Pathways is casual, however we discourage T-shirts with advertising.

Please bring:
* Comfortable walking shoes and/or tennis shoes for recreational activities
* Personal toiletries; no products containing alcohol
* Small amount of spending money
* iPod or other personal portable device with ear phones

What can't I bring?
* Laptops
* Radios
* Food

How do I pay for treatment?
We will help verify your benefit coverage as most third party payers reimburse for a portion of the program fee. Some patients elect to privately pay for treatment. During your phone interview, you can discuss payment requirements more specifically.

Can family or friends visit me?
Visitation hours are Sundays from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Other arrangements can be made if necessary.

We also have a family program one Saturday a month, at no additional cost. All family members are encouraged to attend and learn about the disease called addiction.

How can family members contact me?
Pay phones are available for patient use during morning and evening hours. Those telephone numbers will be given to you and your family members.
Cell phones are permitted before 8:30 a.m., during lunch, and after 5 p.m until lights out.
